    Performance

Monitoring your Triton’s performance is easy with the Multi-Information Display that includes trip computer, driving distance and average fuel consumption.

    Power through the working week

Tough jobs call for dependable power. Triton delivers. Triton GLX Single Cab 4×2 is powered by either a super responsive 2.4 litre petrol engine matched to a robust 5-speed manual transmission or Mitsubishi’s 2.4 litre MIVEC turbo diesel engine boasting 133kWof power and 430Nm of torque at just 2500 rpm. The diesel Triton’s low-down grunt means serious cargo capacity, with a braked towing capacity of 3000kgT1. Constructed with lightweight materials including an aluminium block, the engine is among the smoothest, quietest and most efficient engines on the market, combining outstanding performance and unfussed efficiency in one potent package.

    • Tight turns

      11.8m turning circle

Triton’s power-assisted rack and pinion steering and compact wheelbase allow an outstandingly tight turning circle of just 11.8 metres, making navigating narrow roads and crowded worksites all part of a day’s work.

    • Power & torque

      133kW & 430Nm

Triton’s 2.4L MIVEC turbo diesel engine might not weigh much but it’s no lightweight in the performance stakes, with 133kW at 3500rpm and a stump-pulling 430Nm at 2500rpm giving you the grunt you need, when you need it.

    • 6 Speed Transmission

      Manual or automatic

Take control in any driving conditions with Triton’s 6 speed manual gearbox. The short-throw gear lever and light-action clutch offer precise shifts and make long days a breeze. The 6 speed automatic transmission with optimised top gear ratios delivers improved fuel economy and quiet operation at high speeds, with the Manual Shift Mode giving you sporty, manual-like control with a flick of the lever.

    • Braked towing capacity

      3000kg

Club Cab Triton models have a braked towing capacity of 3 tonnes and a Gross Combined Mass of 5.785 tonnes. Its low kerb weight means Triton offers the perfect balance of payload and towing capacity.

    Easy Select 4WD

Easy Select 4WD on GLX 4×4 Single Cab models offer 2WD and 4WD High and Low range. An easy-to operate four-wheel-drive selector dial allows you to switch between 2WD and 4WD on the move at speeds under 100km/h.

    Trailer Stability Assist (TSA)

To prevent ‘trailer swing’ when towing at speed, Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) will control individual wheel slip to stabilise the trailer. The system detects when the trailer is starting to oscillate and automatically warns drivers behind by flashing brake lights on both the car and trailer.

Rear View Camera ( dependant on tray fitted)

When reverse gear is engaged, the rear camera image appears automatically on the display screen, supplementing the driver’s rear field of view.Rear view camera comes standard with Genuine Mitsubishi Tray Accessory.

    Hill start Assist (HSA)

Steep city streets or congested shopping mall ramps are no longer a problem with Mitsubishi Motors’ Hill Start Assist technology. It prevents the car from rolling backwards by maintaining braking force to give you time to move your foot from brake to accelerator.

    Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)

Mitsubishi Motors’ Anti-lock Braking System allows the driver to maintain steering control of the vehicle and manoeuvre around obstructions in heavy braking situations. Mitsubishi Motors’ Electronic Brakeforce Distribution works hand-in-hand with your car’s Anti-lock Braking System computer to assess load and distribute braking force between the front and rear wheels. When you have a load in the rear, it helps you stop in a shorter distance than with standard brakes.

    Active Stability Control (ASC)

Mitsubishi Motors’ Active Stability Control intuitively recognises when you over-steer or under-steer and applies brake force to appropriate wheels to keep you stable through corners.

    Active Traction Control (ATC)

Mitsubishi Motors’ Traction Control helps maintain traction on most slippery or rugged surfaces. ATC automatically controls the engine output – so driving wheels are prevented from spinning. Sensing loss of traction in independent wheels it then applies braking force to that particular wheel and sends extra power and torque to other wheels with traction, to keep the vehicle moving and in control.

Make light work of heavy loads

You can have your Triton Single Cab-Cab chassis fitted with a Mitsubishi Genuine Steel Tray or Alloy Tray, both designed and built to fit your Triton perfectly. Mitsubishi Genuine Steel Trays are available in durable galvanised finish or optional body colour paint, while the Genuine Alloy Tray is lightweight and corrosion resistant. Both offer a generous load capacity, the ability to load from either side, plus a range of accessories.

    Robust design and handling

Triton is built for maximum stability and traction, with and without a payload. Its robust, rigid chassis contributes to safe, predictable handling and its cab is aerodynamically designed for efficient stability on the highway.
